Do good with us through ISCA Cares Charity Golf 2024 ⛳, happening on 13 September!

Donations and net proceeds will support aspiring accountants by subsidising tuition fees and living expenses under the ISCA Cares Education Programme. Over the past eight years, this initiative has empowered more than 300 ISCA Cares Ambassadors with total bursaries awarded close to $1 million. A big shoutout to all our incredible golf sponsors for making 2023’s event such a success! Your support has helped us make a real difference, and we can't wait to do it all over again this year!

Its a wrap! Team ISCA just concluded our trip to H

Its a wrap! Team ISCA just concluded our trip to Hong Kong and Guangzhou! It was a trip to further our commitment towards internationalisation through two significant MOUs with the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) and the Guangdong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (GDICPA).

With HKICPA, we’re paving the way for deeper engagements to benefit members through membership pathway and sharing of thought leadership programmes; with GDICPA, we are also looking to foster stronger support to Small and Medium-sized Practices (SMPs) in market access and business development.

During the trip, we also had a working luncheon with the Hong Kong Institute of Directors (HKIoD) to explore collaborations on board training, while another discussion with HK Kaplan focused on how we can help students be better equipped on their journeys to become Chartered Accountants.

Hopping over to Guangzhou, our visits to the Guangdong University of Finance and Economics (广东财经大学) and discussions with Xiamen National Accounting Institute (厦门国家会计学院) as well as Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (广东外语外贸大学) yielded interesting insights on accounting studies in China, while parallel visits to Singcham Guangdong and the Guangzhou Knowledge City gave us an overview of the ecosystem that we could build as we drive towards a more international outlook for the profession.

The trip rounded off with a visit to Guangdong Zhongzhixin Certified Public Accountants LLP (广东中职信会计师事务所), one of China's preeminent SMPs, as we had further exchanges on the challenges and opportunities of SMPs in both regions.

Since 2021, ISCA embarked on our journey of skills

Since 2021, ISCA embarked on our journey of skills-based volunteerism with @mccysg ’s @singaporecares Office. To date, we have garnered the support of over 200 ISCA volunteers and provided pro bono support to more than 30 charitable organisations through initiatives such as one-to-one consultations, referrals for board/committee appointments and pro bono accounting/auditing work.

In May 2024, ISCA Cares has taken over the "baton" from ISCA to further strengthen this collaboration with SG Cares Office, marking an exciting new chapter in this journey! 🥰

With the re-affirmation of intent, ISCA Cares will continue to work closely with SG Cares Office in our bid to leverage and scale current efforts, programmes and partnerships to grow regular and sustained skills-based volunteers in the accountancy profession, and inculcate values of care, consideration and contribution in ISCA members.

We look forward to navigating this journey of skills-based volunteerism with SG Cares Office, as we tap on the knowledge and expertise of the accountancy community to create a more caring society. 💕
