Empowering New Beginnings Through Financial Litera Empowering New Beginnings Through Financial Literacy

ISCA Cares recently teamed up with Yellow Ribbon Singapore to run an engaging Financial Literacy Workshop at their newly-established Career Resource Centre. The session equipped pre-release inmates with practical money management skills to support their journey towards a fresh start.

Led by ISCA volunteer Kushal Jaju, participants learned how to budget smartly, manage daily expenses, and avoid common financial pitfalls. The highlight? A hands-on activity where everyone created their first personal budget, turning knowledge into action!

Key takeaway of the day: “Take control of your money, and you can take control of your life.”

A big thank you to Kushal and Yellow Ribbon Singapore for making this meaningful initiative possible.

Interested in making a difference? ISCA Cares is on the lookout for ISCA volunteers to create positive impact.

We owe it to the support, trust and collaboration We owe it to the support, trust and collaboration from our partners for the diverse initiatives for the community!

Last evening, we came together to appreciate our valued partners. It was inspiring to see familiar faces from government agencies, corporate leaders, MOU partners and professional bodies all gathered in ISCA House, whose collaboration and support remain the cornerstone of our success.

The evening began with insightful sharings from our leadership team, each highlighting a unique pillar of our organisation:

Mr Teo Ser Luck, ISCA President, expressed his gratitude to our partners for their unwavering support, sharing his strong belief that ISCA is on the right growth trajectory and is in a privileged position to develop the profession and give back to the community. A mission that remains a core priority.

Ms Fann Kor, ISCA CEO, underscored the importance of supporting ISCA Members and firms working across borders and our aim to serve members better through our internationalisation efforts. From turning ideas into real impact to growing stronger and beyond borders.

Ms Cyndi Pei, ISCA Academy Chairperson, highlighted the importance of positioning ISCA Academy to lead and deliver stronger value to the business community amid a rapidly evolving global landscape, and its role as a pivotal force in shaping the future of the accountancy profession.

Prof Ang Hak Seng, ISCA Cares Chairman, encouraged the positive evolution of the profession and shared his vision for every member to have the opportunity to contribute back to the community through skills-based volunteerism.

The appreciation session then transitioned into our inaugural Thursdate with ISCA, where we had an advance celebration for the upcoming Lunar New Year, drawing a full house of over 110 members and partners.

We also marked our first cross-border celebration by linking our Singapore audience with ISCA chapters in Vietnam and Shanghai, a meaningful reflection of our growing international network!

It was a memorable night with cross-border lo hei and meaningful networking, setting the tone for another year of impactful collaboration and growth.
The inaugural ATO x IHL Engagement Exchange kicked The inaugural ATO x IHL Engagement Exchange kicked off earlier this week on a high note, bringing together ISCA’s Approved Training Organisations (ATOs) and Institutes of Higher Learning for purposeful dialogue and collaboration. The session marked a key step in strengthening employer–education partnerships within the accountancy ecosystem.

Through curated thematic networking zones focused on internship and career pathways, and curriculum and industry collaborations, participants engaged in targeted discussions on bridging academic learning with workplace expectations. Conversations centred on practical collaboration areas such as co-creating student-facing events, enhancing workforce readiness, and supporting smoother transitions from education into professional training and employment.

By facilitating these exchanges, ISCA continues to play a convening role in building stronger networks between employers and IHLs, supporting a future-ready talent pipeline for the accountancy profession. We look forward to sustaining this momentum through joint events, follow-up engagement exchanges, and ongoing employer–IHL collaboration initiatives, and seeing these partnerships translate into meaningful outcomes for students and the profession.

If you’re interested in being a part of such initiatives as well, join us as an ATO today! Email us at ato@isca.org.sg to learn more.
